Canada’s Express Entry System: Road to Permanent Residency

Canada's Express Entry system is an innovative, points-based program for skilled workers to apply to become permanent residents of Canada.

The Express Entry system is an online platform designed to expedite the immigration process and ensure that Canada attracts top talent from around the world.

Candidates must first determine if they meet the eligibility criteria for one of the three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST), or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Eligible candidates create an online profile providing various information about your skills, work experience, education, language proficiency, and other relevant factors.

Candidates receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence through regular draws conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, including supporting documents, which IRCC will process and assess your eligibility.

Successful candidates will receive permanent residency in Canada where they can live, work, study and enjoy all Canada has to offer.
